Privacy Policy

ReadVero is private by default
ReadVero is an offline-first document scanner. The app does not require a ReadVero account. ReadVero uses Google AdMob for advertising and requires network access to request ads. Document scanning, OCR and PDF creation remain on-device.
Documents and OCR
Scans, imported files, OCR text, corrections, PDFs and ReadVero indexes are processed and stored locally on your device. ReadVero does not automatically upload your document contents or OCR text to Umami Solutions or to a cloud AI service.
Camera and file access
Camera access is used only to capture documents when you choose to scan. File selection uses the operating-system picker so you can choose a PDF or image to import. ReadVero does not request broad storage access.
Sharing and printing
When you choose Share, Save or Print, ReadVero creates or uses an export copy and hands it to the destination app, service or printer you selected. That destination may process the document under its own privacy terms. ReadVero does not share documents automatically.
Website and support
The public ReadVero website may generate ordinary hosting and security logs such as IP address, request time and browser information. If you email support, Umami Solutions receives the information you choose to send and uses it to answer or resolve your request.
Advertising and data protection
ReadVero does not transmit document images, OCR text or filenames to AdMob. Google AdMob may process IP-derived approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics and device or other identifiers for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention, subject to applicable consent requirements. ReadVero does not send the content of scanned documents or OCR text to AdMob. Consent choices are provided where required.
Retention and deletion
ReadVero-owned documents remain on your device until you delete individual items, clear all ReadVero local data, uninstall the app, or the operating system removes app data. Copies saved or shared outside ReadVero must be deleted from those destinations separately.
Children
ReadVero is a general document utility and is not designed as a service specifically directed to children. It does not create user profiles or accounts.
Security and accuracy
ReadVero is designed to minimise unnecessary data movement by keeping document processing local. No security measure or device is guaranteed to be immune from loss or compromise, so protect your device and keep separate copies of important documents where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
If ReadVero's data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before those practices are represented in store privacy disclosures. The effective date above identifies the current published version.
